12:49 pm - The Greatest Tits Volume 1
Check it out, I haven't posted in epochs. Largely that's because I figured ya'll woulda be readin my other site. celestialvibration.blogspot.com

But I've brought you back here, mostly cause I need a bitch sesh!

So There's one week left of class of the most epic quarter of my schooling career. I have been scrambling to complete group projects, papers, evals, meetings and all sorts of other stuff all while applying for a job at the radio station, helping the radio station move from the studio in the CAB to a trailer behind SEM1, and I'm MOVING! Yeah that's right. I'm escaping this tiny, loud, tortured den of control battles and cat paranoia for an upstairs room down the street. I'm moving slowly into the new place. Anyway I have nothing ot really bitch about just wanted to type this out so you can all feel it.

I'm also in the preliminary stages of writing my masters thesis and could use suggestions for a summer reading list. My topic is the phenomenon of oppressed peoples led by elected officials with backgrounds in the humanities and the types of government and policy pushed for by such leaders. My three main examples are Aime Cesaire, Leopold Senghor and Vaclav Havel. If you have any book suggestions or input pertaining to this topic I would be stoked.

you know what song weirdly reminds me of you for some reason, not like for any kind of direct memory of us being around each other when the song was played or anything like that.. just your personality reminds me of long distance runaround by yes

Hey,

For my MPA program I'm making a case study for Google.org and doing a feasibility plan for a low-cost weatherization business. Any input would be most welcome.

First of all, many thanks to Roxanne, my buddy from the MPA program. She put out a good word for the show and lo and behold, an article appeared in the weekly volcano:

Weekly Volcano Article

One of the dudes in Carmen’s program is Will Bennett, and he convinced her, and she convinced me, to tune into his weekly broadcast that happens every Thursday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., titled “Are Friends Electric?” Let me just say that while Carmen and I were listening to those electronica cuts, we proved that we were both indeed electric by jumping up on the two window seats in my living room to dance like a robot to Kraftwerk’s “Pocket Calculator” song.

Within the first five minutes I got a request for kraftwerk! I ended up getting a few more calls. Some friends, some strangers. Some requests, some comments. All Positive. Great show overall. Pleased with the tracklist as well. Have a gander:

8:47 pm - first night in jerz
Definitely sucks to be here in the winter. Just got back from a real italian restaurant (which pretty much doesn't exist in the Nw). Had chicken payarma? I forget how to spell it. Anyway, I gotta remember not to come here in the winter. Traveling sucked. I am not looking forward to flying home. Going to go see milk with bibbs and his brother in a little bit. Interested to see how love life evolves in WA when I get back. Perhaps prospects? Old loves renewed? New loves found?

1:10 am - TIRACON 6V
Quite a surprise after powering up. Quite a kickass analog sound and growling, whistling, evil vintage filter. Quite a number of options, just to mention things like; sequencer, 2 multiple stage envelopes, 3 LFOs (for VCO, LPF and PWM) with 4 shapes, Pitch mod by envelope, Highpass Filter with resonance, MIDI interface, TAPE interface, heavy wooden side panels and Korg-like joystick (and Korg Poly61-like overall sound). The Envelopes are a bit slow and handicapped; the Attack behaves more like it's shifting the start of sound in time than rising the volume gradually, which makes the creation of convincing strings and pads difficult. But what is the most important thing, is that this is the kind of synth you can befriend and love despite all its drawbacks. Tiracon 6V is a worthy, befitting 14-kilogram piece of East Germany vintage synth history, that is now a chapter closed forever.
